Running together to support survivors.
Launching in April 2026, the Denim Day 5K Series will bring communities together in five major U.S. cities to raise awareness about sexual violence and celebrate survivor resilience. This nationwide running event honors the spirit of Denim Day—an annual awareness event triggered by a 1998 Italian Supreme Court decision that overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore tight jeans.
The Denim Day 5K Series transforms this symbol of injustice into a powerful movement of solidarity and action. Participants are encouraged to wear denim while running or walking the 5K route, creating a visible statement of support for survivors and rejection of harmful myths about sexual violence.
